Like Hannah Höch, Taeuber-Arp was also a leader of the Dada movement. Before becoming involved in the Dada movement, Taeuber-Arp taught textile design at the Zürich School of Arts and Crafts. Influenced by Cubism, Taeuber-Arp began creating non-representational paintings in 1915.Taeuber-Arp was one of the leaders of the Zürich and Paris Dada movements. A signer of the Dada Manifesto, Taeuber-Arp remained committed to Dada throughout her career, applying it to a wide range of forms, such as dance and puppetry.
